Kathmandu- Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava, who was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack, is scheduled to be discharged today, according to Grande International Hospital.
Ambassador Srivastava has been undergoing treatment at the hospital in Dhapasi for the past week. Hospital officials said he is being discharged after his health condition showed continuous improvement.
He suffered a heart attack while hiking at Champa Devi in Kirtipur last Saturday. Following the incident, he was rushed to the hospital within an hour, where doctors detected a blockage in his left coronary artery.
Medical professionals immediately performed angioplasty to open the blocked artery. Doctors have stated that due to timely medical intervention, his recovery has been progressing well.
