President Paudel Issues House of Representatives Election Amendment Ordinance

Kathmandu- President Ramchandra Paudel has issued the House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Ordinance 2082.

According to the Office of the President, the ordinance was promulgated on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in accordance with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Pradeep Kumar Koirala, confirmed that the ordinance was issued today following the Cabinet’s decision to recommend the amendment related to the election of members of the House of Representatives.

Further details of the amendment are expected to be made public through the official gazette notification.
