Kathmandu- The Department of Passports has announced that the printing and distribution of passports, which had been halted earlier, will resume simultaneously in a regular manner.
Passport supply had been disrupted following the Gen Z protest. According to Keshav Raj Panthi, Information Officer at the Department of Passports, printed passports will now be supplied to concerned offices, including District Administration Offices and Nepali diplomatic missions abroad.
The department stated that passports have already been distributed based on applications received from administration offices up to December 1. Applications submitted after that date will be processed and responded to by January 9.
The department has expressed confidence that the resumption of printing and distribution will help normalize passport services across the country and abroad.
