Kathmandu- Prices of gold and silver increased in the domestic market on Thursday, with gold crossing the Rs 260,000 mark once again and silver touching an all-time high.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of gold has been fixed at Rs 260,400 per tola for the day, up by Rs 700 from Wednesday. Gold was traded at Rs 259,700 per tola the previous day. Earlier this week, on Monday, gold had reached its highest-ever level of Rs 260,700 per tola.
Silver also registered a fresh record after rising by Rs 25 per tola. The metal, which was traded at Rs 4,055 per tola on Wednesday, climbed to Rs 4,080 per tola on Thursday. Silver has been setting new record prices for the second consecutive day, according to traders.
