Kathmandu: The Rastriya Swotantra Party (RSP) has made public the final list of aspirants seeking candidacy under the proportional representation (PR) system.
According to the party, a total of 387 aspirants have been shortlisted for the PR election scheduled for Friday, March 21. Initially, 414 individuals had applied for PR candidacy from the party. However, 27 applicants have not been included in the publicly released list.
The RSP has clarified that those whose names do not appear on the published list will still be accommodated in the candidate selection process through virtual means, indicating that the process remains inclusive and ongoing.
For the PR candidacy application, the party had fixed an application fee of Rs 50,000 per applicant. Based on this, the RSP has collected approximately Rs 27 million in application fees.
Party officials said the publication of the list is part of the internal selection process and aimed at ensuring transparency ahead of the upcoming PR candidate finalisation.
