Kathmandu- Nepali Congress central member and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak appeared before the Commission of Inquiry on Monday to record his statement in connection with the Gen-Z Movement incident.
Although the commission had formally summoned him to appear by Sunday, Lekhak reached the commission’s office at Singha Durbar a day later. The commission is taking his statement in his capacity as the then home minister regarding the loss of life and property during the Gen-Z agitation on Bhadra 23 and 24.
The government had formed the commission under the leadership of former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki to investigate the circumstances and accountability related to the incident.
