Kathmandu — After days of steady increases, the domestic prices of gold and silver dropped sharply on Tuesday, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation.
The price of gold fell by Rs 7,900 per tola, settling at Rs 262,100 on Tuesday. Gold had been traded at Rs 270,000 on Monday and Rs 270,600 on Sunday.
Silver prices also declined significantly. The price of silver dropped by Rs 305 per tola to Rs 4,590 on Tuesday. Silver was traded at Rs 4,895 per tola on Monday and Rs 4,835 on Sunday.
The sharp correction comes after continuous gains in recent days, reflecting volatility in both domestic and international precious metals markets.
