Kathmandu- Prices of both gold and silver have surged to new record highs in the Nepali market, continuing their upward momentum.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, the price of hallmark gold increased by Rs 2,400 per tola on Sunday, reaching Rs 303,800 per tola. On Friday, gold was traded at Rs 301,400 per tola.

Silver prices have also recorded a sharp rise. The federation said silver increased by Rs 290 per tola to reach Rs 6,480 per tola, marking the highest price ever recorded in the domestic market.

Traders say the persistent rise in international precious metal prices, along with market uncertainty, has contributed to the continuous increase in local prices.
