Kathmandu- The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has issued a circular to all 753 local levels and 77 district coordination committees, directing them to strictly enforce the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.
According to Dipesh Kattel, section officer at the Ministry, subordinate bodies have been instructed to ensure effective implementation of the Election Code of Conduct within their respective jurisdictions.
The Election Code of Conduct was published in the Nepal Gazette on December 27 and has been in force since midnight of January 18.
The Code comprises 10 chapters, five schedules, and 55 clauses, outlining standards and restrictions to be followed during the election period.
