Kathmandu—The upward trend in gold prices continued on Tuesday, with the precious metal setting yet another record in the domestic market. Gold price increased by Rs 300 per tola on Tuesday compared to Monday, reaching its highest level so far.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, gold has been fixed at Rs 309,300 per tola on Tuesday. On Monday, gold was traded at Rs 309,000 per tola. Compared to Sunday, the price of gold had jumped by Rs 5,200 on Monday alone, reflecting sustained volatility and strong upward pressure in the market.
Silver prices have also continued to rise alongside gold. On Tuesday, the price of silver increased by Rs 105 per tola and is being traded at Rs 6,870 per tola. On Monday, silver was traded at Rs 6,765 per tola, while on Sunday its price stood at Rs 6,480 per tola.
The continued rise in gold and silver prices indicates persistent demand and global market influences, with both metals repeatedly setting new historical highs in the Nepali market.
