Kathmandu- The government has appointed Dr. Prakash Kumar Shrestha as Vice-Chair of the National Planning Commission (NPC), while Prof. Dr. Suniti Shrestha Hada has been named as a member.
The decision was taken at today’s Council of Ministers meeting, according to government spokesperson and Communications Minister Jagdish Kharel.
previously he has been appointed as an advisor to Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel and served as Vice-Chair of the Planning Commission of Province 5. He has been associated with Nepal Rastra Bank since 1997. Prior to that, he worked briefly at the Nepal Telecommunication Authority.
The cabinet also decided to end the use of postal stamps as revenue stamps for official documents, except where required by law.
