Kathmandu-People’s Hydropower Company Limited has announced its plan to sell 500,000 shares of Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited through the stock market. The company made the decision public through an official notice issued to investors and stakeholders.
According to the notice, the shares will be traded through the regular secondary market system. The company has clarified that the sale will not take place through a separate or special mechanism, but through normal market transactions in line with prevailing stock exchange rules.
Company management stated that the decision to reduce its investment stake in Upper Hewakhola Hydropower has been taken to address immediate financial requirements. The funds generated from the sale of the shares will be utilized to strengthen the company’s cash flow position.
People’s Hydropower has also stated that the share sale process will consider market movement, prevailing price conditions and the overall investment environment. The company has indicated that the sale will be carried out in phases, depending on necessity, justification and prevailing circumstances in the market.
