Kathmandu- The price of gold has surged sharply in the Nepali market, increasing by Rs 14,400 per tola in a single day.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers, the price of gold was fixed at Rs 304,700 per tola on Wednesday. A day earlier, on Tuesday, gold was trading at Rs 290,300 per tola.
Silver prices have also moved upward alongside gold. The price of silver increased by Rs 265 per tola and has been fixed at Rs 5,600 per tola on Wednesday. On Tuesday, silver was priced at Rs 5,335 per tola.
The sharp rise in precious metal prices reflects continued volatility in the bullion market, with both gold and silver recording notable single-day gains.
