Sarlahi – Krishna Prasad Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, is preparing to seek a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly on Poush 4. Appointed as the Chief Minister on Mangsir 19, Yadav is set to secure formal stability for his government by obtaining the vote of confidence.

Yadav became the Chief Minister with the support of seven political parties. He is currently leading the government with the backing of 77 Members of the Provincial Assembly, including Congress, JSP Nepal, Janmat Party, Loktantrik samajbaadi party, Maoist Centre, CPN (Unified Socialist), and the Nagarik Unmukti Party.

Ahead of the vote of confidence, Chief Minister Yadav has begun preparations for the expansion of the cabinet. However, despite supporting the government, Loktantrik samajbaadi party, JSP Nepal, and the Nagarik Unmukti Party have yet to join the cabinet.
