Kathmandu- The first plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Pragatisheel Loktaantrik (Progressive Democratic) Party (Pralopa) began in Kathmandu on Monday, marking the party’s initial formal gathering after its formation.
The meeting is being held at a party venue in Nayabazar and is scheduled to continue until Tuesday. According to party sources, discussions will focus on the party’s future political strategy, preparations for upcoming elections and recent national political developments.
At the opening session, former prime minister and party patron Dr Baburam Bhattarai administered the oath of office to all central committee members.
Senior leaders including Janardan Sharma, Santosh Pariyar, Ram Karki and Sudan Kiranti are participating in the plenary, which is expected to set the direction for the party’s organisational and political course in the coming days.
