Kathmandu— Prime Minister Sushila Karki has held discussions with top leaders of three major political parties at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
The meeting, which began earlier today, brings together senior leaders to discuss current political developments and governance-related issues.
Top Political Leaders Attend the Meeting
Present at the discussion are CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Nepal Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
All three leaders arrived at Baluwatar to participate in the talks, which are currently ongoing. However, official details regarding the agenda and outcomes of the meeting have not yet been made public.
Oli Visits Baluwatar for the First Time Since Gen-Z Movement
This marks KP Sharma Oli’s first visit to Baluwatar since the Gen-Z Movement, which led to widespread protests in Kathmandu and other parts of the country.
Oli, who was serving as Prime Minister at the time, resigned from office following the escalation of protests on 23 and 24 Bhadra.
Oli Had Left Baluwatar by Army Helicopter
Amid intensifying demonstrations on 24 Bhadra, Oli vacated the Prime Minister’s residence and departed Baluwatar via a Nepali Army helicopter.
Following his resignation, Oli had not returned to the Prime Minister’s official residence until today’s meeting.

Oli’s return to Baluwatar after several months is being viewed as politically significant, particularly in the context of post-protest power dynamics and ongoing negotiations among major parties.
