Kathmandu — Nepal Police has recommended the promotion of 16 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
According to an official notice issued by the Police Headquarters on Monday, the recommendation was made in line with the decision of the promotion committee, in accordance with prevailing laws and service regulations.
The notice, published by the Personnel Administration Department of Nepal Police, states that the promotion recommendations were finalized after evaluating seniority, performance, and eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Police Service Regulations.
The recommended officers are currently serving in various units, including the Police Headquarters, provincial police offices, district police offices, training institutions, and specialized divisions such as highway patrol, border crime investigation, and special security units.
Nepal Police has invited concerned stakeholders to submit any objections or claims regarding the promotion list within the stipulated legal timeframe, as required by existing procedures. After the completion of this process, the promotions will be formally approved and implemented.
The promotion of these officers is expected to strengthen leadership capacity within the police organization, particularly at the district and provincial command levels, amid growing security and administrative responsibilities.
