Kathmandu- The Nepali Congress has convened a meeting of its Central Working Committee for tomorrow at 11:00 am.
Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said the meeting will take place at the party’s central office in Sanepa.
The meeting has been called amid escalating internal tensions following the organization of a special general convention by one faction of the party. Leaders aligned with the party establishment have termed the special convention unconstitutional and illegitimate, while the faction backing the convention has insisted it will proceed with decisions on leadership and policy matters.
Party insiders say the Central Working Committee meeting is expected to deliberate on the ongoing dispute, the legal and organizational validity of the special convention, and the party’s immediate political course.
