Kathmandu- Lumbini Lions will take on Biratnagar Kings today in Qualifier 2 of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025, with the winner securing the remaining spot in the tournament’s final.
The day-night fixture is set for 4:00 PM at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Sudurpaschim Royals, the first team to enter the final, awaits the winner. Sudurpaschim secured their place after defeating Biratnagar by a commanding 77 runs in Qualifier 1, denying Biratnagar a direct route to the title match. Biratnagar—finalists of the inaugural season—now rely on this second chance to advance.
Lumbini Lions booked their place in today’s qualifier after overcoming Kathmandu Gorkhas by 4 wickets in Thursday’s eliminator match. Lumbini also holds a psychological advantage, having defeated Biratnagar by 5 wickets during the league stage.
The championship final will be played at the same venue on December 13.
